Kusha rice or plain Biryani step by step
- Pre-soak the rice. Now for making the paste in a pan add oil then add the whole garam masala. Saute it add green chiles, then whole garlic cloves roughly chopped ginger. Saute it. Then add the onion, tomato, coriander and mint leaves. Saute it for 7-8 min..

- Now in a pressure cooker add ghee, then add bay leaf. Now add the sliced onion. Saute it till light brown. Then add the chopped tomatoes..
- Saute it till it becomes mashy. Now add turmeric, redchile and garam masala powder. Add little salt to it. Mix them well. Now add the paste and again saute it for 5-7 min. Now add the beaten curd. Now let the masala cook till oil starts coming out of it..
- Now add water to it. Add the rice. Add salt as required. Cover and let it cook. It may require 2-3 whistle depending on your rice. Serve it with raita, egg masala or korma..
